  • Camp Lejeune says: Krystal: Call Camp Lejeune's housing office at 910-450-1627 x200. They've got lots of tips and information about wait lists for you.

  • Angel N. says: The wait depends on your rank really. Lower ranks I have heard the wait list is anywhere from 6 to 18 months for some housing. If you are E6 or higher you can take a house on New River Air Station (which is a great base and much smaller). There is alot of new housing if you are willing to wait for it.

  • Andrea C. says: We have been here since November 2010. The wait list for housing for us was 6-9 months when we got here and we waited t 4 months but the housing is nice and a lot of newer housing neighborhoods! What i like is that the schools on base are actually Dodea schools like what u would see overseas. As far as finding a rental out in town wasn't hard to do and they all usually work with you on a lease fit for you if you are waiting on base housing! As for MCCS they are good as far as I know I don't really pay attention that much to MCCS outside of youth sports. I really like the area but it took some getting used to coming from a big place like Camp Pendleton but it is a great place to live!!

  • Con M. says: Like the Atlantic Marine Corps Communities facebook page. One thing to keep in mind is the long (sometimes up to an hour) wait to get on base in the mornings. We had a horrible experience with Century 21 so stay away from them.

  • Andrea C. says: We used Home Team Realty and they were great to us. We got a 6 month lease. We had heard a lot of nightmare stories about them and a few others but it wasn't nearly what we were expecting!!
